Privacy Policy

AIRTIME ("we", "our", or "us") is an iOS and Apple Watch app that measures vertical jump height and sprint speed using on-device sensors. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the following information when you use AIRTIME:

Account information — email address and display name when you register.
Athletic performance data — jump height measurements, sprint times, distances, and workout logs you record in the app.
Profile data — height, weight, age, jump style, and training goals you enter in your profile.
Apple Watch sensor data — accelerometer readings (100 Hz) used exclusively to calculate flight time and jump height. Raw sensor data is processed on-device and is not stored or transmitted.
Camera footage — short video clips recorded during jump attempts. Video is processed on-device for frame extraction; clips are not uploaded to our servers.
HealthKit data (read-only) — heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, sleep duration, and VO₂ max. This data is used only to calculate your daily readiness score and personalize AI coaching. It is never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties.

2. How We Use Your Data

To calculate and display your vertical jump and sprint performance.
To back up your performance history so it survives app reinstallation.
To power the AI Coach feature, which uses your stats and HealthKit readiness to generate personalized training advice.
To generate your Weekly Recap card and optional leaderboard ranking.
To send password reset emails when requested.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to any third party.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your account and performance data are stored on a secure server hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored securely in your device's Keychain and are never logged or exposed in plaintext.

4. Third-Party Services

AIRTIME uses the following third-party services:

OpenAI — powers the AI Coach. Your athletic stats (jump height, sprint times, HealthKit readiness score) are sent to OpenAI's API to generate coaching responses and training plans. No personally identifiable information (name, email) is included in these requests. OpenAI's privacy policy is available at openai.com/privacy.
Apple HealthKit — read-only access. Data stays on your device and is never forwarded to third parties beyond the AI coaching use described above.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab inside the app. Deletion permanently removes your account and all associated performance data from our servers within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

AIRTIME is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the email below or using the in-app account deletion option.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of AIRTIME after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
